Video Posted of Weffo SC50.1 Scooter Supercharger - Test Run

We've been getting asked a lot to see some video of the test unit running the prototype SC50.1 scooter supercharger, so we finally broke down and recorded some this past weekend.

See that neat gauge with the needle on it? Yep, that is a vacuum/pressure gauge, and at half-throttle the SC50.1 is generating 8-9 psi of boost, with blips up to 10 psi.

Why only half-throttle you might ask? Because the engine apparently can't flow more boost than that in stock trim, so we're trying some additional "flow enhancers" to see how far we can push the engine. First up is an exhaust pipe, then tuning the carb, maybe even a fancy high-performance camshaft to improve valve timing and/or duration. (Huh? Fancy camshaft? What could we possibly be tinkering with NOW?)

You might also have noticed the larger-than-life GY6/150 carb hanging off the intake port of the SC50.1 (yep, you read that right, a 150cc carb on a 50cc engine) as we were sucking the stock GY6/50 carb's float bowl dry after 5-10 seconds of boosted running. Believe me, these are good problems to be having!

Disclaimer: This is a "test mule" bike, and as such it isn't pretty. But it does run and is relatively easy to work on. The test plumbing is also kinda ugly, but also works pretty well for rapid prototype work.  Please don't hold any of that against us.
