Weffo VDC125.1 Variable Duration Camshaft in Development

Yeah, you didn't see that one coming, did you?  We're working with an extremely talented engineer to see if we can adapt his patented variable duration camshaft to work in small engines as a drop-in replacement.

The design is a self-contained camshaft assembly that will be a direct replacement for a stock GY6/125 camshaft.  The really cool part about it is there will be no external ECUs, motors, linkages etc to manage the valvetrain.  The goal is to get an engine to idle smoothly as with the stock cam, but increase power by up to 30% when you really pin the throttle.

Oh, and for those of you on GY6/150 bikes - we'll have you guys covered as well since the basic components will most likely be the same. 

We're still trying to figure out if we can shoehorn it into a GY6/50.  It's kinda like stuffing a bowling ball in a marble sack...
